All posts should be professional and courteous. Forum participants will have freedom to share perspective to fellow student followers. However, they are not free to attack, degrade, insult, or otherwise belittle them or the quality of the forums. Members must remember to stay mature and thoughtful at all times.
We encourage students to follow-up with any comments/responses made to their posts to maintain an interactive aspect to the site and further explore content area(s) discussed. This may not be your first time participating in an online discussion forum but for others it is. Lead by example.
Respect diversity and diverse perspectives. NOVA Is a rich and diverse, multi-cultural college. Please refrain from language that is—or that could be misunderstood as—offensive toward others. This includes but is not limited to racists, sexist, ageist, ablest and heterosexist comments and jokes. These are unacceptable, as are derogatory and/or sarcastic comments. If you are observed doing this, your use of the forum could be removed/disabled and possibly face disciplinary action from the college. Language is your only tool in an online environment. Be mindful. How others perceive you will be up to you.
Report Glitches: Discussion forums are electronic. They might malfunction from time to time. If for any reason you experience difficulty participating, please call, email, or otherwise inform NOVA ELIfe at email@example.com or submit it to our “help” form and explain the issue. Chances are others are having the same problem.
